Missouri River Relief
Portals of Purpose Along the River
Missouri River Relief planned a large-scale cleanup event spanning the stretch of river between Leavenworth, Kansas and Weston, Missouri. The goal was to unite communities across state lines in a shared act of stewardship, while raising awareness about the river’s health and the importance of hands-on conservation. The event needed a theme and a suite of visual materials that would inspire volunteers, honor the land, and speak to the momentum of collective action.
We developed a visual identity rooted in the flow and rhythm of the Missouri River itself. The event theme combined natural textures, flowing typography, and bold color contrasts to evoke movement, teamwork, and hope. Custom vector artwork was created to reflect the unique geography of this river stretch, while event signage, flyers, and postcards carried the message into schools, neighborhoods, and public spaces. Every piece was designed to be inviting, clear, and community-centered.
The final materials energized volunteer participation and gave the event a unified presence across platforms and towns. The theme became a rallying symbol—both locally and online—reminding everyone involved that when we meet the river with care, we shape a better future for all who depend on it.
